1 Peter 5: 12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting and declaring that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it. 13 She who is at Babylon, who is likewise chosen, sends you greetings, and so does Mark, my son. 14 Greet one another with the kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ.
A strange thing stood out to me today as I read the final chapter of 1 Peter.
Our era of separation because of COVID is not unlike the apostles traveling due to their ministry as they established the first churches.
Peter and Paul wrote to all sorts of Christians they wished they could see but because of a variety of circumstances could not visit in person.
I imagine both apostles knew the feeling of loneliness and isolation especially while they were imprisoned.
I pray we stand firm and continue to find new and creative ways to stay connected with one another despite our distance. Our spiritual connection cannot be stopped by any distance or force.
