Jeremiah 31: 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
Sometimes I wonder how things were before Christ came to us and set us free.
How did the streets of Jerusalem look before Babylon took it over? Were they scary? Was it comparable to terrifying modern-day horror movie?
And what about outside Isreal? Was there hope anywhere before Christ in foreign nations?
How were people’s hearts? Were they more selfish? Where they the same but with less hope to turn to their hearts to good?
I am thankful we are living in the age we are. I know its not easy, peaceful or perfect on earth now but there is so much good in our age. All of that goodness has grown from the first church Christ established and I know even more amazing things are coming just beyond the horizon.
