Today I want to offer a humble prayer for communities across the world right now:
I pray for justice and healing for all the members of the community, especially those of the black community, that have been marginalized, threatened, hurt and killed by the police who are meant to deliver protection and safety for their towns.
I pray that people of all communities give those who have been hurt a listening ear and sympathy for a pain that many of us my not understand or have experienced.
I pray that anger and hate will not divide us. I pray that we all be humble in approaching this sensitive topic and understand that where there is anger, there is also deeper pain.
Most of all I pray that us as Christ’s body continue our work in the spirit to bring unity, hope, healing and freedom to God’s kingdom here on earth today and restore as much as we can until He calls us home.
