Ruth 2: 12 “The Lord repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!”
We all put our faith in something. Many put it in their bank accounts, funds saved for future trials. Others may put it in their jobs, years of patience and hard work have blessed them with security for income and purpose.
These things are blessings for sure but they can fail us. They are circumstantial and are fleeting. They can not truly give hope in a time of trial.
God can provide comfort during hard times as I choose to take shelter beneath His wings. Sometimes I have had my spirit lifted by scripture, at times a song renews my hope. Other times it is the comforting presence of a friend or family member or simply time to rest.
These small things come from God and are just some of the infinite ways He works around us everyday to heal the suffering and hopeless.
