God’s Anger of Sins

God is angry towards our sins and not us. This idea resonated with me today.

After reading Old Testament scripture it seems like I have been taking my sins hard. I feel like God is angry with me and my (what seems like) constant daily failures.

But reading Romans 1:18 – The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness,

I am reminded that Jesus set us free. God’s anger and wrath are aimed at my sins and not me. He knows my guilt and shame

He knows the hope and sincerity in my heart.

As this grace was extended to me I must extend it to others and not combine a persons sins with their identity which is a creation in the image of God 🙂

  1. Yes! Our sins are forgiven-past, present and future! God doesn’t punish us-He disciplines us in order to bring Restoration…Restoration with Him and His Creation.
