35”…—he is the one who gives power and strength to his people”
reminded me of Romans 12:3 and Ephesians 4:7, ESV: “But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s. He gives us all power in our gifts and He gives it powerfully.
However, some of us are asking… where’s my power? Ther answer is in the bible in Matthew 6:33 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
So before you go on a rant wondering why nothing’s being done for your own kingdom, consider Gods kingdom first and all the righteous provisions He’s already given, and thank Him before asking for more 😉
Isn’t that what was going on in the book of James? They’d ask but not receive because they would be asking for their own pleasures… Pray for this and ask for that .. all for me and my gain, all the while God was waiting around for people to come to seek Him….all the people wanted was what He could provide them, bountiful harvest, wine etc. But they were thanking themselves and their own hard work for it. They were not putting God first.
