Hosea 5: 15 I will return again to my place,
until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face,
and in their distress earnestly seek me.
It has been said in many surveys that most secular people pray to God in a crisis. I think that even Christians can follow suit in this. We pray when we sre hurting or scared but when things are calm and peaceful, we forget our relationship to God.
For myself I don’t just want peace through a crisis, I want everlasting peace that can ride the next wave of crisis as it hits the shores of my life.
It often seems arrogant or prideful to choose to life without relying on God’s provision. There’s no doubt that a choice to be without God involves those two things but deep down I beileve that along with the hardness of a heart to God is a life that just is hard.
A Christian is no stranger to hardship but we carry the peace of security and of being looked after by our Heavenly Father. A non-beilever just has themselves and the security of what the world offers, I just wanted to acknowledge how hard that is. I know because I have lived it myself before I came to Christ.
I pray for the hearts of those who do not beileve that they can one day ooen themselves to the freedom that is a life with Christ.
Your prayer is full of beautiful compassion. I an happy to join with you in your prayer. Life without God is Hell.
