Mark 11: 9 And those who went before and those who followed were shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! 10 Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!”
As Jesus arrived in Jerusalem, days before his death, the people there rejoiced because they thought they knew who Jesus was and what He came to do
They celebrated in anticipation for a new kingdom, like that of David’s hundreds of years prior. These followers beileved something similar to Jesus’s closest twelve: they believed Jesus to be the messiah warrior who would overthrow the Roman empire and put Isreal on top as a powerful nation.
But Jesus’s mission was not one of earthly circumstances and power but of spiritual healing, mercy and grace.
He came to defeat evil at its core: in the human heart. With a transformed heart sin and evil is defeated inside us. This defeat is one that must be fought daily with Jesus, our heavenly brother, at our side.
We can expierence freedom from evil in our hearts when we choose to pray and align our hearts to Christ daily.
I love what you’ve written and I completely agree that we have to take up our cross daily and that the Holy Spirit (Jesus) will help us.
God has been revealing to me that it’s important to ask Him how we should pray about our concerns. I am praying and asking God what I am supposed to do specifically in regards to the world crisis with the covid virus.

That is a big question right now. I feel useless, I know my daily wiritng helps in some capacity but beyond that I feel like a lot of help requires face to face contact which is not going to work right now
