Exodus 13

in Genesis 50 25 then Joseph made the sons of Israel swear an oath, and he said, “When God comes to help you and lead you back, you must take my bones with you.”

19 Moses took the bones of Joseph with him to keep the promise.

I don’t know about you but I think that’s a pretty heavy responsibility to carry on depending upon the circumstances

“9 And it shall be to you as a sign on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes”

this to me says that for the preparation of a weeks time with no leaven which means lots of work to remove anything that would have to do with rising bread to make the place ready for the Passover feast at the end of the week. And you’re supposed to remember all week right there in the forefront as a front of your mind between your eyes every day up until the feast why you’re doing it and it was because of God‘s power and how he got them out of Egypt and saved them from the pharaohs and freed from slavery
