One of my favorite times is when I am able to sit down and chat with fellow brothers in faith. It is a joyful time that uplifts, inspires, encourages and affirms my spirit.
This connection is vital for me: pains are healed, lessons are taught, sins are reconciled, laughs are shared and the gray heavy burdens of life are lifted from my shoulders as Christ spirit flows among us.
Galatians 6: 2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Christians meeting is an essential part of our walk. Although it is not a requirement to be faithful and obedient to God (as so many biblical figures have shown in their lives) for us it is definitely an outlet that should never be overlooked. It may be possible to go along with God on our own, God does not want us isolated for ever and can often talk to us through others.
Whether it is a weekly small group, bible study or coffee meet, times of fellowship bring us closer to God’s spirit and can help us refresh one another on a deep level.
